Summer Reading Program

Each year, a nationwide theme is chosen to promote reading over the summer months.

To help support and sustain children’s reading engagement during the summer break, the library runs a six-week Summer Reading Program. Children add stickers to their reading records, earning rewards at periodic check-ins at the library when goals have been met. We conclude the program with a live performance or other community event that highlights the current year’s theme.

As always, the program is free and all are welcome. Come by the children’s library to learn more, sign up, and pick up a reading-tracker sheet and stickers ahead of time to get started!
