Weekly “Locks Box” Challenge

What’s a Locks Box? It’s a fun challenge, great for small groups to put their heads together and win prizes!

A mysterious wooden box is closed and secured with several locks. Each lock is opened by working out the solution to a different puzzle. Some of the locks open with a combination of colors, some with directions found on a map, or maybe a set of shapes or numbers in a particular order. Some are even solved with words hidden with invisible ink!

Open all the locks and then the box to discover the prize inside. You never know what the next challenge will be; the box changes from week to week.

A critical thinking and problem solving activity, this is great for parents to do with their kids or for friends to do together. Geared for children in grades 2-5, but fun for all ages 7 and up.
