A Home in the Hollow of the Magic Tree
Have you seen the magic tree in the Children’s Room at Norman Williams Public Library? There appears to be a family of small rabbits living in the cozy hollow at the base. Peek through its door, and you can see the lights are on, and even a fireplace!
Do you think the rabbits read the books that surround them at night? What kinds of stories do you imagine they like? Would they want to check out the picture books from the list in this week’s paper? Might they play with the other toys when the library isn’t open?
The creative imagination behind this special tree is Youth Services Director, Adrian Tans. This is just the most recent addition to the engaging displays and activities designed and created by him and our Youth Services Librarian, Emily Gibson.
Stop by the Children’s Room and follow the clues for the ever-changing Scavenger Hunt, discover the answer to the current question on the Trivia Board, solve the weekly challenges to open the Locks Boxes, or simply enjoy the seasonal decorations as you browse the shelves and pick out your next reading materials.
And be sure to introduce yourself to the creatures who live in the tree hollow!
