On behalf of the Norman Williams Public Library Trustees, staff and volunteers, thank you Woodstock voters for supporting the library’s request for funding. Our request from the taxpayers of Woodstock was for exactly the same level as we have requested in the past, and represents just under 40% of our operating budget. The Special Articles — together with our appropriation from the town budget — helps us keep the lights on, the doors open, and all the wonderful community activities sponsored by your library. We are extremely fortunate to have such broad support within our community.
This was my first Town Meeting in my new home town and I especially appreciated the warm reception that I received from those in attendance. I had the pleasure of meeting many of my new neighbors on Saturday, and look forward to meeting many more of you in the near future.
