ArtisTree Music Theatre Festival to Celebrate Norman Williams Public Library with Cabaret Performance on October 1st

Performance to support library’s 2019 campaign for HVAC system replacement

WOODSTOCK and SOUTH POMFRET, VT – September 10, 2019 – ArtisTree Community Arts Center (ArtisTree) and the Norman Williams Public Library (NWPL) announced today that the ArtisTree Music Theatre Festival will celebrate Woodstock’s community library and its ongoing 2019 Capital Campaign with a cabaret.  The special performance will be held on the evening of Tuesday, October 1st at The Grange Theatre, 65 Stage Road, South Pomfret, VT.

“ArtisTree is pleased to partner with the Norman Williams Public Library in a collaboration of professional quality entertainment that celebrates musical theater and the talents of our summer theater performers as well as supports the beauty, value, and important tradition of our local library,” said Kathleen Dolan, founder and executive director of ArtisTree.

The cabaret will spotlight actors from the productions of two upcoming ArtisTree shows, Forever Plaid: The Heavenly Hit Musical and TINTYPES: A Musical Celebration of America. The performers will include Scott Moreau, 2018 BroadwayWorld Award-Winning best actor from the ArtisTree Music Theatre Festival production of The Fantasticks. Josh D. Smith, Festival Artistic Director, will provide musical direction for the cabaret.

The professional cast — multifaceted talents who have performed across the country in theaters, concert halls and opera houses — will sing from the musical theater repertoire and will include classics from the Great American Songbook among the evening’s selections.

All performers are volunteering their time to support NWPL.

“Thanks to the great generosity of this community, the NWPL is getting closer to reaching our capital-campaign goal.  We’re in the home stretch now, and this special cabaret will make a big difference,” said Ron Miller, president, NWPL Board of Trustees. “The library is so fortunate to have ArtisTree at our side in this campaign. On behalf of the Trustees, I want to thank Kathleen Dolan and all the folks at this amazing arts center who enrich the life of our community in so many ways.”

Tickets include a special wine and cheese reception that will precede the show, beginning at 5 pm outside the Grange Theatre – or in the HayLoft in the case of inclement weather. Curtain time for the cabaret will be at 6 pm sharp. The price of each ticket, which will benefit the library’s drive to replace its ailing heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems (HVAC), is $50 per person. Seating is limited.

To purchase tickets, please send checks written to NWPL to the attention of Michael Ricci, Director of Development, NWPL, 10 The Green, Woodstock, VT 05091. Tickets can also be purchased via credit card by calling Michael Ricci at 802-457-2295, ext. 126 or online via PayPal with the link above.
