Invitation to Our 2019 Annual Meeting & Reception on Tuesday, October 15, 5-6:30 pm

The Board of Trustees of the Norman Williams Public Library (NWPL) cordially invites its patrons and interested members of the community to attend its 2019 Annual Meeting at the library on Tuesday afternoon, October 15th. The meeting will begin at 5 pm on the Mezzanine with an autumn-themed reception, which will feature fresh, locally produced apple cider, select cheeses, and home-baked goods among other sweets and savories. The formal agenda will start promptly at 5:30 pm.

Ron Miller, President of the NWPL Board of Trustees, will open the meeting with an overview of the past year’s activities and highlights, followed by a report from Kathy Beaird and Clare McFarland, Interim Library Directors, on the State of the NWPL. In addition, Trustee Joe Boyd, Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee, will present NWPL’s 2019 financial summary.

Back by popular demand from last year’s annual meeting, Beaird and McFarland will also deliver their Fall 2019 “Rapid Book Review,” which will provide the audience valuable previews of some of the best reading choices among recently released books currently available at the library.

The agenda will then provide those in attendance an opportunity to participate in an open Questions & Answers session with Miller and other members of the Board, after which the Annual Meeting will formally adjourn.

We look forward to greeting library patrons and other interested members of the public at our 2019 Annual Meeting,” said Miller.  “2019 has been a stand-out year when it comes to the community’s support for our library, so this meeting will give us a wonderful opportunity to report on the year’s achievements and to restate our thanks.”
