Join author and writing teacher Joni B. Cole as she shares insights from her new release Good Naked: How to Write More, Write Better, and Be Happier—a great way to launch NaNoWriMo*. Cole will lead participants in a fun, instructive workshop that invites you to write from a “prompt” and see what happens on the page. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your writing aloud for appreciation.
Bring your notebook or laptop and expect to leave with lots of tips on craft, and how to enjoy a positive and productive creative process. Come one, come all, and leave all self-doubts at the door!
Joni B. Cole is the author of two books for writers: Toxic Feedback: Helping Writers Survive and Thrive and Good Naked—listed as one of the “Best Books for Writers” by Poets & Writers magazine. She also wrote Another Bad-Dog Book: Essays on Life, Love, and Neurotic Human Behavior and co-created the three-volume This Day series that shares a day in the life of hundreds of women across America and from all walks of life, called by Publishers Weekly “fascinating and eye-opening.”
The Yankee Bookshop will be on hand with books to purchase for autographing.
* November is National Novel Writing Month—otherwise known as NaNoWriMo! It is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing that began two decades ago as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel during the thirty days of November.
