I draw and paint the ever-changing landscape, flowers and barns,
apple trees and oak leaves.

Snow, just fallen,
paths through it, blue tree shadows on it.
When it’s melted, brown earth showing through again.

The seasons. The sky.
The trees, and how they hold the ground.

All changing all the time.
From season to season, day to day, minute to minute.

To capture the ever varied view with freshness and honesty
is my biggest challenge and greatest joy.
In the moment, alive and aware.

Grateful to be witness to God’s presence in the created world.
