Born 200 years ago this April, F. L. Olmsted designed our first city parks and model suburban communities. He promoted environmentalism and the creation of the national park system. Greatly influenced by his New England upbringing, Olmsted has instilled a love of our American landscapes.
To celebrate Poetry Month, we invite poets of all ages to add a “leaf” of verse to the poetry tree set up in our lobby! Blank leaves are available to write down your poetic words – silly or serious, anything you wish… The form might be haiku or limerick, free verse or acrostic – you choose.
Join us to read a few books on a theme of the week! Enjoy stories, socializing, and often a project tied into the theme. For young children ages 20 months – 3 1/2 years.

The library offers Qigong, led by Gerry Sandweiss, weekly on Friday mornings. Qigong is currently held online via Zoom.
