Option 1: Walk in the Library and look around! We are now fully open and would love to have you come in and browse the shelves. Library staff is always happy to answer any questions you may have. We currently require masks and have some available.
Option 2: Browse our online catalog.
- Log in using your library barcode and password. (Contact our circulation desk if you need help with this step.) After logging in, you can:
- View and renew your current loans
- Request an item – Norman Williams Library is part of a consortium of about twenty-one libraries. You are welcome to request items from all of these libraries.
- Search the catalog.
- Click on a title that interests you.Place a Hold to request the title. (Putting it in your cart doesn’t do it.)
- You will receive an email or phone call when your hold is ready.
- Ask for your hold items (adult and children items) at the main circulation desk. You may place a hold on any title, no matter which library has it. You will receive an email when your item is ready for you to pick up.
- If it’s not in the catalog: If you don’t find what you are looking for in our catalog, we are always happy to search further afield for you. Contact the Reference Desk with the specifics (title, author, etc.) and we will search throughout the state first and then throughout the country. There is no charge for this service, although if you would like to donate toward postage, that is appreciated.
- Edit your personal information and set personal preferences for various things such as . . . 1. Whether you would like reminder emails about holds and dates due. 2. Whether you would like the system to keep your reading history, allowing the library staff to access this information on your behalf. (Your reading history is private. The library will not share this information with anyone else.)
