Green Books Discussion Group – focus on the environment and sustainability

March 16, 2023 @ 3:30 pm5:00 pm

Want to learn about sustainability? NWPL has a book discussion group for you!

Ben Kogan brings his curiosity and knowledge to the “Green Books” discussion group at Norman Williams Public Library. We’ll explore non-fiction writing about the environment and sustainability.

The group meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday* at 3:30 pm. Be sure to sign up soon so you have time to read the selected books. We are using a hybrid format that allows us to meet in person and via Zoom.

Current – and past – book selections are posted on the Book Discussion Group Page.

Ben is fairly new to Woodstock having moved from Park Slope, Brooklyn in 2021 with his wife and young son. He’s a local musician and runs a company called Reusable Solutions whose mission is to get the world to break free from fossil fuels and eradicate single-use plastic. He reads a lot of sustainability books and is excited to discuss them with others!

Please email programs@normanwilliams.org to register. We’ll keep you updated on the meeting location or send the link to join online.

Note: The Yankee Bookshop offers our reading groups a discount! Just let them know which discussion group you are in.

* Occasionally, the date may change. Any adjustments will be noted here.
