Please join us for the Opening Reception of “Hidden in Plain Sight: An Exhibition of Paintings and Figurative Wall Constructions” by Amy Schachter.
“My artwork explores the human experience as told through a female lens. The images in my work often depict women, open, exposed and vulnerable, yet possessing an inner strength and fortitude as illustrated by the strong framework within each piece. Many of the figurative images in my work are like characters in a story. Each one is there to convey a message and evoke a feeling, inspiring the viewer to reflect and connect. My work allows me to explore sensitive situations in a way that provides clarity and establishes a visual narrative that can be shared with others.”
More information about the artist is posted on the Mezzanine Gallery page.
