The Friends of the Norman William Public Library is a completely separate organization and is not run by the library.
It is a a non-profit tax deductible organization formed for the benefit of the Library. They provide special programs, activities and events that augment the Library’s mission to enrich the intellectual and cultural life of the greater Woodstock community.
The Library needs the support and contributions of many friends to continue to provide our excellent access to literature, culture, current information and technology. Many people are unaware that the Library receives most of its funding through private donations and not through state or town budgeting. We therefore ask you to join us and become a Friend so that together we can provide a home here at the Library for all the vitality, creativity, energy and kindness that makes our area so wonderfully hospitable.
We have hopes and plans for a Literary Salon, discussion groups on mystery novels and novelists, on film noir, a foodie panel, an art symposium — all the things that make the Library the heart and soul of a dynamic and exciting environment. But we need you!

Couple: $50
Family: $60
Sustaining: $85 and above*
