Geza Tatrallyay – The Purple School Bus Murders

NWPL is excited to launch Geza Tatrallyay’s first mystery novel, The Purple School Bus Murders! The story takes place in Vermont, drawing on local experiences and locales.

In the depths of winter, a lone walker discovers a body in an abandoned school bus. Returning to the site, he is involved in an accident, and the plot takes off. Along the way, he falls in love and unmasks a Russian paramilitary group… You’ll have to read the book to follow the jaw-dropping twists and turns!

Born in Budapest, Hungary, Geza Tatrallyay escaped with his family in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution and immigrated to Canada. He attended the University of Toronto, Harvard University, and Oxford University. He earned a Master’s from London School of Economics and Politics.

Geza’s professional experience included stints in government, international organizations, finance, and environmental entrepreneurship. His poetry and articles have appeared in many journals in Canada and the US, and he has published eighteen books – thrillers, memoirs, poetry collections, a short story collection, and a children’s picture storybook.

Geza is a citizen of Canada and Hungary, and currently divides his time between Vermont and San Francisco, with frequent trips to Toronto, Vienna, London, New York and Nairobi to visit family and look after his business interests.
