The Members of Norman Williams Board of Trustees hope that you will join us for our Annual Meeting.
The Norman Williams Public Library holds an Annual Meeting of its Corporators of for the purpose of election of Corporators and Trustees of the library. At this meeting the Library Executive Director updates those in attendance on the accomplishments of the prior year and informs of initiatives planned for the upcoming year. Trustees also provide a report on the financial performance of the prior year and present the proposed budget for the upcoming year. The Treasurer will also discuss performance of our investments. This is a public meeting and attendance is open to all.
According to our bylaws: “The annual meeting of the corporate members shall be held each year at a time to be designated by the board, no earlier than July 1 and not later than December 31, for the purpose of electing trustees, corporate members, and members of the Nominating Committee as hereinafter set forth and for the transaction of such other business as may come before the meeting. If the election of trustees is not held at the annual meeting, the board of trustees shall call a special meeting of the corporate members as soon thereafter as is convenient.”
At the annual meeting we look forward to listening to your ideas for continually improving all aspects of the library. Attendance at this meeting is expected of all Corporators; please let us know if you are unable to attend.
