On behalf of the trustees, corporators, staff, and volunteers of the Norman Williams Public Library, I would like to thank the sponsors of the 2016 Ex Libris Gala. This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, April 24th, and is made possible through the generous contributions from our sponsors. The names of these wonderful contributors also appear in all published materials for our Gala.
The Gala is our most important fundraiser of the year. Gala sponsorship supports our operating funds, which are used to buy books, sustain the library infrastructure and provide many community services. More than sixty percent of the library’s finances come from businesses and individuals in our community, and this support is crucial to the viability of this important community asset. The generosity of our sponsors makes it possible for the library to stimulate reading, broaden intellectual pursuits and inspire creativity.
Our 2016 Gala speaker is renowned artist and printmaker Sabra Field, who will address what we anticipate to be a full house at the Woodstock Inn Ballroom. Please join us for the event on April 24th. We also ask that you show your appreciation to our business sponsors by patronizing their businesses and to thank them in person. We thank the 2016 Norman Williams Public Library Gala for their generosity and continued commitment to the Library and our community.
