From the ED: Announcing new Programs Librarian

Danelle Sims
Danelle Sims

Please join me in congratulating Danelle. She has received a promotion and will take on the newly created, full-time role of NWPL Adult Services/Programs Librarian.

Danelle will continue to serve on the adult circulation desk several days per week and very soon she will also work several days each week on NWPL adult programs. Danelle officially begins her new full-time role during the week of September 18.

Danelle will continue to work on our weekly newsletters and our website updates as part of the new position. I am really happy that Danelle has been promoted and I can’t wait to see what kinds of magical programs she helps to bring to life in the library. Adult programs are an integral part of the library. Danelle let me know that she very much wants to work collaboratively with all of us on the library staff and the outside community to create excellent events here at NWPL.  She hopes to develop a 12 month calendar of NWPL events that include series of programs aligned with national library themes, such as national poetry month.

Danelle, your hard work and the care and attention you give to NWPL has paid off. Congratulations!
