Color-mixing Story Time

The Craft Room in the Children’s Library will be open Monday afternoons from 1-4 as part of the Summer Reading Program. Drop in to express yourself with a variety of craft materials. Children ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

Movie

We will be showing a movie (G or PG) each week on Fridays at 3:00 in conjunction with our Summer Reading Program, Every Hero Has a Story. Please call for title. (No Movie Friday, July 3). Children ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

Heroes within Us All

Lauren Alderfer, author of Teaching from the Heart of Mindfulness and Mindful Monkey, Happy Panda will be coming to the Norman Williams Public Library on Tuesday, June 23. The presentation, Heroes Within Us All, will be held at 3:30 PM, and feature a story time for children about mindfulness. The program is offered in conjunction with the children’s summer program, Every Hero Has a Story.

Animal Heroes: Austin, the Therapy Dog

July 1 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Come meet Austin, a therapy dog being trained by local-area veterinarian, Blakely Murrell-Liland. Find out how these dogs are trained and the ways they help human companions. The program is offered in conjunction with the children’s summer program, Every Hero Has a Story.

I Can Do It!

July 9 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

This program will feature a talk by local student hero, Finn McFarland, who was responsible for creating the root cellar on the campus of Woodstock Elementary School that stores locally-grown food to the Woodstock Food Pantry. Come hear her story and be inspired to make a difference in your community! The program is offered in conjunction with the children’s summer program, Every Hero Has a Story.

Community Heroes: Firefighters

July 16 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
