Howards End – the Merchant-Ivory Film Adaptation

December 27, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

On January 13, the Classics Book Group will be discussing Howards End by E. M. Forster.

Howards End was first published in 1910. Accounted by many to be Forster’s best book, Howards End concerns social conventions and relationships in turn-of-the-century England.  Emma Thompson won an Academy Award for best actress in the 1992 Merchant-Ivory film adaptation.

As an interesting comparison with the book, we will be showing the film at the library over the holidays.
