Please join us for a reading of newly published work by local poets Laura Foley and Sarah Dickenson Snyder. Following the formal reading, we’ll open up the evening to attendees who would like to share a poem of their own so come prepared if you wish to read!

The author of nine poetry collections, Laura Foley’s most recent is It’s This. Her poems have won numerous awards, and national recognition; read frequently on “The Writers Almanac” and appearing in Ted Kooser’s American Life in Poetry. Her poems have been published in Alaska Quarterly Review, Valparaiso, Poetry Society London, and many others; in anthologies such as: Poetry of Presence: An Anthology of Mindfulness Poems, Healing the Divide: Poems of Kindness and Connection, and How to Love the World: Poems of Gratitude and Hope. Laura lives with her wife and their romping canines, among the hills of Pomfret, Vermont.

Sarah Dickenson Snyder lives in Vermont, carves in stone, and rides her bike. She says that travel opens her eyes. She has four poetry collections, The Human Contract (2017), Notes from a Nomad (nominated for the Massachusetts Book Awards 2018), With a Polaroid Camera (2019), and Now These Three Remain (2023). Her poems have been nominated for Best of Net and Pushcart Prizes. Recent work is in Rattle, Lily Poetry Review, and RHINO
